We bought a brown jacket for my son for the spring, he needed a new hat. To match the jacket, a knitted bear hat appeared. The “rice” pattern is quite simple, but not as common as the front surface or elastic, moreover, it imitates the shagginess of a bear. The ears of the hat with ties will not allow you to blow through the delicate children’s ears. A funny face does not leave anyone indifferent.
Materials:
Hosiery needles 3.5, Camtex Bambino yarn (merino wool 35%, acrylic 65%, 50 g / 150 m.) dark brown 1 skein and a little beige for decoration, a little white and black yarn for decoration, hook 2.5
Elastic band 1 * 1 – * front loop, purl loop *, in even rows, knit according to the pattern.
Rice – This pattern is a variation of the pearl pattern. It also knits, only the loops are not shifted in each next row but through the row.
1st row: 1 person. loop, 1 loop purl.
2nd row: knit according to the pattern
3rd row: 1 purl. loop, 1 front loop (the loops are interchanged)
4th row: knit according to the pattern.
Garter stitch – knit loops on the front and back sides.
Work description
Hat
Cast on 110 stitches on the needles, and distribute them evenly on stocking needles (you can also knit on straight needles, then you will need to make side seams and add 2 edge loops each). Knit with an elastic band 1 * 1 for a height of 4 cm.
Go to knitting pattern “rice”. Knit to a height of 16 cm from the beginning of knitting.
Then start making decreases as follows: * 3 loops (front, back, front) together front, back * (or vice versa: * back, 3 loops (front, back, front) together front * – you need to look at the picture).
Knit 3 more rows with a “rice” pattern and decrease again: * 3 loops (front, back, front) together front, back * (or vice versa: * wrong side, 3 loops (front, back, front) together front * – you need to look by drawing).
Knit 3 more rows with a “rice” pattern and make the last reductions: * 3 loops (front, back, front) together front, back * (or vice versa: * back, 3 loops (front, back, front) together front * – you need to look by drawing). Then pull the remaining loops with a working thread, fasten the thread and hide the tail.

Ears on the hat
On the bottom of the cap, cast on 20 loops on the knitting needles in this way: from the conditional side seam, 8 loops towards the forehead, and 12 loops towards the back of the head. Knit in garter stitch for 5 rows. Then start to make decreases: knit together the second and third loop from both edges in each row. When there are 4 loops left on the needles, start knitting the ties.
Also, tie the second ear.
Ties
On the 4 sts left from the ear, knit the next lace. way: *1 person. p., thread before work, 1 p. remove, as out, thread at work, from * repeat 1 time, turn, from * repeat. After 24 cm closes the loops.
Decor
muzzle
Knit with beige yarn. Crochet two air loops. In the second loop from the hook, knit six single crochets. Continue knitting in a spiral according to the circle rule (adding evenly 6 single crochets in each row). Knit until you get a circle with a diameter of 6 cm.
Fasten the loop, break the thread, leaving the end for sewing.
Nose
Knit with dark brown yarn. Cast on a chain of three air loops (a base loop and two lift loops).
1 row. Three columns with a crochet in the base loop.
2 rows. 2 chain lifts, 2 double crochets from the first stitch, double crochet, and 2 double crochets from the last stitch.
Fasten the loop, break the thread, leaving the end for sewing.
Eyes knitted bear hat
With black yarn, tie two air loops (ch). In the second loop from the hook, knit 6 single crochets (st. b / n). Close in a ring.
The second row is knitted with white yarn: c. lifting point, *increase, art. b / n * repeat 6 times, close in a ring (12 loops)
In the same way, tie the second eye.
Bear ears
Each ear is knitted from two halves.
Front half: With beige yarn, tie two air loops. In the second loop from the hook, knit 6 single crochets. Do not close in a ring. Further, in each subsequent row, evenly make three increases according to the scheme. The fifth row is knitted with dark brown yarn.
The back half of the ear is knitted similarly, but all with dark brown yarn.
Having finished the back half, we do not break the thread, but we tie the two halves together with columns without Crochet Bear Bucket Hat in a semicircle (we do not tie the halves together in the straight part of the ear).
In the same way, tie the second ear.
Assembly of the muzzle
The place where to sew the details of the muzzle is best determine by putting a hat on the baby’s head. Sew the nose onto the muzzle, and embroider the mouth with dark brown yarn. The muzzle onto the hat. Sew the eyes onto the hat and the bear ears onto the hat.
